:: Data Guidlines

As an educational website, our data is always free for you to download and analyze.  This page has been helped tremendously by the many triathletes who have graciously shared their power data. We appreciate their kindness. To insure data confidentiality, as much as is possible, we have made each of the data files anonymous via a removal of all athlete names.  Every individual who submitted data has a unique identification number.  These begin with an M for men and an F for women.  If an individual submitted several data files, their identification number will appear on all the files.  It is therefore possible to compare some of the demands of different races by using the same athlete’s performances.  These can be found in the same year in several occasions as individuals have provided the data from the Ironman in which they qualified for the world championships and then the data from their Hawaii ride as well.

All of the data on this site is distributed as CyclingPeaks files.  Specifically, the data is in the newest format of CyclingPeaks, wko+.  For more information about the CyclingPeaks program, including information about their trial offer, visit their website at https://www.cyclingpeakssoftware.com .   We distribute data via CyclingPeaks because this program offers us the chance to markup the files with notes, special details and other assorted information with ease.  The data files with such markup are marked with special italics in the data list.

We are always interested in gathering more data from multisport events.  Please consider sending us your racing data.  For more information about submitting data, please contact us directly at info@tripowertraining.com
